Contraindications & Client Responsibility

For your safety and wellbeing, Kobido facial massage may not be suitable in certain situations.
Please read the following information carefully before booking.

Kobido is a manual facial therapy that works with facial muscles, fascia and lymphatic flow. While it is a gentle and non-invasive treatment, certain conditions may require postponement of the treatment or medical consultation.

 

Absolute contraindications

 

Treatment cannot be performed in the presence of the following conditions:

• contagious skin infections
• open wounds or unhealed cuts on the face
• active herpes infection (cold sores)
• severe inflammatory skin conditions
• recent facial surgery or cosmetic procedures not fully healed
• fever or contagious illness
• uncontrolled medical conditions affecting the skin or lymphatic system

 

In such cases, the treatment must be postponed until full recovery.

Temporary contraindications

The treatment may need to be postponed if any of the following are present:

• recent Botox or dermal fillers
• recent facial aesthetic procedures
• severe acne or inflamed skin
• sunburn or irritated skin
• dental procedures causing facial inflammation
• severe migraines on the day of treatment
• swollen lymph nodes
• acute sinus infections

Medical conditions requiring consultation

If you have any of the following conditions, please inform the practitioner before booking:

• chronic skin conditions
• autoimmune conditions affecting the skin
• neurological conditions affecting facial muscles
• recent injuries affecting the face, neck or jaw
• lymphatic or circulatory disorders
• recent medical treatments affecting the skin

In some situations, written approval from a healthcare professional may be required before treatment.

 

Consultation form

Before every treatment, clients are required to complete a consultation form.

This form helps ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate.
Clients must provide accurate and honest information regarding their health, medications and any relevant medical history.

Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in treatment being declined or discontinued.

Practitioner discretion

The Kobido Room reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if the practitioner believes that the treatment may not be safe or appropriate for the client.

This decision is made solely in the interest of client safety and professional responsibility.

Treatment expectations

Kobido facial massage is a wellness treatment designed to support relaxation, facial muscle balance and skin vitality.

It is not a medical treatment and does not diagnose, treat or cure medical conditions.

Individual results may vary.

Liability

By booking and attending a treatment, the client confirms that:

• they have read and understood the contraindications
• the information provided in the consultation form is accurate to the best of their knowledge
• they understand the nature of the treatment

The Kobido Room cannot be held responsible for adverse reactions resulting from undisclosed medical conditions, allergies or inaccurate information provided by the client.
