Kobido Facial Massage

Who it is for, when to avoid it, and what to expect after the treatment.

Kobido is a traditional Japanese facial massage known for its lifting, relaxing and rejuvenating effects.

The technique works deeply with facial muscles, fascia and lymphatic circulation, helping the face release tension and restore natural vitality.

Before booking your treatment, it is helpful to understand who Kobido is best suited for, when it may not be recommended, and what temporary reactions may occur after the treatment.

Who is Kobido ideal for?

Kobido is ideal for people who want to improve the natural condition of their skin without invasive treatments.

This treatment may be especially beneficial if you:

• experience facial tension (especially in the jaw, temples or forehead)
• notice early signs of ageing such as fine lines or loss of firmness
• spend long hours in front of screens and feel tension in the face and neck
• feel that your skin looks tired, dull or stressed
• want to support natural lifting and circulation
• are looking for a deeply relaxing facial ritual

Many clients also choose Kobido as a natural alternative to aesthetic treatments, or as a way to maintain healthy skin between cosmetic procedures.

When Kobido may not be suitable ❌

For safety reasons, the treatment should be postponed if any of the following conditions are present:

• active skin infections (herpes, fungal infections, impetigo)
• open wounds, cuts or severe skin irritation
• severe acne inflammation
• active rosacea flare
• fever, flu or general illness
• recent facial surgery
• recent fillers or botox (usually within 2 weeks)
• recent dental surgery or strong dental inflammation
• uncontrolled high blood pressure
• skin conditions that cause fragile or blistering skin

If you are unsure whether the treatment is suitable for you, please feel free to contact me before booking.

Your comfort and safety always come first.

What to expect after your treatment

After Kobido, it is normal to experience:

• slight redness (usually temporary)
• a feeling of lightness and deep relaxation
• improved glow and skin tone
• reduced tension in the face, jaw and neck

In some cases, you may also notice:

• increased lymphatic flow (feeling of drainage)
• mild sensitivity in areas of tension release

These are natural responses and usually settle within a few hours.

For best results, allow your skin to rest and stay well hydrated after the treatment.🤍

The deeper effect of Kobido

While one session can bring visible freshness and relaxation, the true transformation comes with regular treatments.

Kobido works progressively —softening tension, improving circulation and supporting natural lifting over time.
